Funkdawgs Music Production Service

Put the Funkdawgs to work on your music production team. We have over 100 original compositions to our credit and have the long distance production process down cold. We can fill in those last few remaining tracks in your music productions or else write and produce complete jazz, blues, funk or R&B instrumentals to suit. If you are interested you can even license any of our existing tunes as well. Previous clients Saxophone Journal, Jazz Player Magazine, Bassics Magazine, Evolved Sound (On Hold Music, Australia), Music Minus One.Available instruments: basses, rhythm or solo (fretted, fretless) drums (jazz, rock sets) guitars, rhythm or solo (electric, acoustic) keyboards, rhythm or solo (pianos, Hammond organ) saxophones, section or solo synthesizers, keyboard or wind How Does it Work? Here's how. You send us an mp3 playback of your song, minus the instrument(s) you want us to provide you with. Assuming your mp3 file is available somewhere on the Web, this can be done by including a live link to your mp3 demo in an email. It is best to have a 2 bar click countoff at the start of the song for your benefit. We'll include that when we send you back your completed track(s). This gives you a reference point for lining up the tracks in your session. Your completed new tracks will have no EQ or effects added unless you ask for them and the tracks will be totally separated from your initial mix. We can provide finished tracks either as mp3 or wav files at the Funkdawgs server for you to download. This allows you to fly OUR tracks into YOUR production where you completely control the final mixdown. Turnaround time is usually less than 1 week. If you prefer to work with CD's in the mail that's OK too but then it generally takes much longer to close the circle. You can listen to samples directly to our web site (under Music Production page). Email the Dawgs if you'd like to put us on your team.

DAWGMA The Second Independent Release

Presenting a breath of fresh air on the nu jazz scene. Dawgma, the exciting, much-awaited second release from the Funkdawgs delivers 14 new tracks that have come together in the true spirit of musical collaboration. Because the band doesn't really exist; except in the 'virtual realm'. In fact, most of the Funkdawgs members have never met face-to-face. The Funkdawgs are five highly-talented, innovative jazz musicians who have gained years of experience, both in the studio and on stage, and still feel the need to create from their various home studios around the planet. Although from different cities in different countries (United States, Canada and Italy), they definitely feel the same groove and passion for jazz-funk. The original instrumental material they create has many familiar influences that surface in their compositions. It's an exploration that wouldn't have been possible without today's advanced digital recording and Internet technologies. All the compositions on Dawgma have been recorded in the virtual studios of each musician, with tracks being exchanged across cyberspace and assembled in digital software on the Funkdawgs' studio computers. Feel the contemporary nu-jazz directions that Dawgma delivers. Influences range from funk to blues to R & B to fusion to Latin jazz to acid. It's a heady mixture of rhythms and melodies that breathe new energy into today's world jazz scene. Dawgma is available by order only through CDBABY.COM at www.cdbaby.com/funkdawgs2 or at www.funkdawgs.com
